Grand Cayman is a globally recognised diving destination, and you are staying on top of it. Calypso Cove is a one-minute walk from the dive boat docks; Evans Close is eight minutes. Snorkel gear comes with your suite.

Evenings and live music

Sunset first, then whichever of these has a band on. Macabuca does the Monday BBQ buffet; The Wharf does lobster bisque and salsa night.

Sunday brunch, ranked

The Anchor and Den for the global-cuisine buffet. Luca at Caribbean Club for modern Italian with beach views. Seven at the Ritz-Carlton for the most luxurious version, buffet style with unlimited premium drinks. Catalina at Hotel Indigo from 12:30 to 3. Tukka out east for local BBQ and carving stations.

Eating well for less

Peppers, Macabuca on Monday for the BBQ buffet, Heritage Kitchen for the sunset, Chicken Chicken when nobody can decide, and Cimboco. Every suite has a kitchen, and Fosters is five minutes away — cooking two nights out of seven changes what the week costs.

The gear is already there

Snorkel gear, two beach chairs and a cooler come with every suite. Calypso Cove is a one-minute walk from the dive boat docks; Evans Close is eight. You do not need to hire anything to have a good first morning.
